Lenten Post Day 18

Saturday, February 26

Jeremiah 5:20-31, Romans 3:19-31, John 7:1-13

Q. 41. Where is the moral law summarily comprehended?

A. The moral law is summarily comprehended in the Ten Commandments.

Q. 42. What is the sum of the Ten Commandments?

A. The sum of the Ten Commandments is: to love the Lord our God with all our heart, with all our soul, with all our strength, and with all our mind; and our neighbor as ourselves.

Prayer: O send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling. Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy; and I will praise you with the harp, O God, my God. (Psalm 43:3-4)

Reflection: God gave us the law in the Ten Commandments.  However, we are all sinners and disobey the law.  God redeemed us through Jesus suffering.  By faith in Jesus, we are reconciled to God.
